Report: Teams up trade offers to Raiders for Maxx Crosby 'moving fast'

· Yahoo Sports

Recent reports have had the Las Vegas Raiders potentially trading Maxx Crosby this week. And with the end of this week approaching quickly, the offers have heated up. According to Trey Wingo, the Dallas Cowboys thought they were close to a deal to acquire the Pro Bowl edge rusher only to have other teams come in and potentially outbid them by offering two first round picks.

The Cowboys have been considered the most likely destination for Crosby for a number of reasons. One of which being that they have two first round picks in this year's draft, one of which they acquired in the trade that sent Micah Parsons to Green Bay.

Doubtful the Raiders are holding their feet to the fire for both of those picks, but more that Jones is trying to come out ahead in the overall deal, essentially swapping Parsons for Crosby while still having more or better picks remaining than he started with. This despite Crosby being just the type of player with just the type of contract Jones claimed he wanted when he shipped Parsons away.

This information coming out in this way suggests Jones is either bluffing or trying to call the Raiders bluff by threatening to move off Crosby in favor of Hendrickson. I don't think the Raiders are bluffing here, but I wouldn't count anyone out at this point. It sounds like the Raiders want to get the Maxx Crosby situation dealt with before the free agent negotiating period begins on Monday.
