Nebraska's pitching holds Omaha to two hits in 4-1 Saturday win

Nebraska softball (17-5) welcomed Omaha (14-5) to Lincoln on Saturday for the first of a two-game series. The Huskers claimed game one, taking down the Mavericks, 4-1.

Nebraska held a 4-0 lead heading into the seventh. Omaha scored on a solo home run to prevent the shutout but finished with two hits. The Huskers tallied 10 hits on the day but left six runners on base.
Ava Kuszak and Jesse Farrell led Nebraska in the batter's box, both hitting 2-for-3 with one RBI. Farrell struck a solo home run in the second, her seventh home run of the season. Kuszak delivered a solo shot of her own in the seventh, her fifth of the year.
Hannah Camenzind and Kacie Hoffmann each pitched in an RBI of their own, both batting 1-for-3. Jordy Frahm, Lauren Camenzind, Hannah Coor and Bella Bacon all earned one hit.
Frahm (6-3) also picked up the win in the pitching circle, throwing a complete game and allowing a season-low two hits. She held a no-hitter until the fifth and finished with eight strikeouts.
Nebraska and Omaha continue the series on Sunday afternoon. The first pitch is set for 2 p.m. CT on B1G+.
