Stefon Diggs makes first public appearance since being cut by Patriots
· Yahoo Sports
Star wide receiver Stefon Diggs was seen on the football field for the first time since being released by the New England Patriots.
The four-time Pro Bowler was preparing to compete in Saturday's Fanatics Flag Football Classic, which features past and current NFL stars. Diggs will be competing for Founders FFC, which is co-captained by Patriots legend Tom Brady and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The Patriots moved Diggs in an effort to shed his expensive contract in the offseason. He was set to count $26.5 million against the salary cap for the 2026 season, which was the second-most money behind star defensive tackle Milton Williams. The two sides ultimately failed to agree on a restructured deal, and the team made the move to release Diggs when the new league year started on March 11.

The Patriots still haven't closed the door on a potential reunion with Diggs in the offseason.
He was the team's leading receiver last year with 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. Depending on how things shake out in the offseason, Diggs could potentially find his way back to New England.
"I wouldn’t say the door’s closed,” Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf said, via Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller. “I mean, again, we’re gonna look through every way we possibly can to help improve the team.”
