Mapimpi’s wife shows love at 100th Sharks cap

Makazole Mapimpi’s wife, Sasha de Sousa, was on hand to celebrate his 100th Sharks test cap milestone this weekend.
The occasion also marked the Durban club’s 45-0 victory against Ireland’s Munster. The URC game took place at the Kings Park Stadium.

On her Instagram Stories, Makazole Mapimpi’s wife, Sasha de Sousa, revealed that she was in the stands at the Kings Park Stadium.
“Here’s to 100”, she captioned an image of Mapimpi on the pitch.

He has now extended his contract until June 2027.
Head coach JP Pietersen said of the player: “He’s a special human being. At his age, to still have that speed and professionalism – there’s a lot of rugby left in him. He showed that again.”
WHO IS THE SPRINGBOKS WAG?
In 2024, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus set tongues wagging after he indirectly revealed that Makazole Mapimpi was both a husband and father.
He shared at the time: “Mapimpi’s wife is giving birth. We don’t want to keep him away from that”.
The woman linked to the Bok confirmed news of her pregnancy; however, both she and the player have shied away from making their relationship public.

Sasha is a well-known content creator from Eswatini who uses the Instagram handle @swazisoil.
According to her LinkedIn account, Sasha is the General Manager of Operations for an insurance company.
Although she has never addressed being a Springbok WAG, Sasha follows her “husband” on IG and often likes his posts.
Last year, influencer and reality TV star Kanya Mtsaka alleged that Makazole Mapimpi had romantically pursued her. The rugby player did not respond to the claims.
