Oak Hill Marina in Arnolds Park hosted their first ever “Icebreaker Surf Event.”
The event featured wake surfing demonstrations, drive-and-buy boat demos, lunch, and an after party at Oak Hill Outdoors.
“We like to have events; we like to see people. We like people coming through our doors. Oak Hill Marina. We’re here for you and just ready to get the season a rocking.” Said Will Kretsinger, President of Operations at Oak Hill Marina.
Also on hand at the event was Tyler Stewart, four-time world champion wake-surfer from Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Stewart gave wake surfing demonstrations during the day and didn’t let the 40-degree air temperature and 47-degree water temperature stop him from putting on a show.
“The wind Is the hardest part. We got wet suits so we’re staying a little warm. The water is cold, we’re the first one’s surfing on Lake Okoboji. We’re just excited to kick off spring. The lakes are open and get out on the water.” Said Tyler Stewart, four-time wake surfing world champion
The Icebreaker event went from 12:00 – 5:00 Saturday afternoon and the after party started at 6:00 at Oak Hill Outdoors.
