Cowboys owner Jerry Jones wants George Pickens to dump his agent

Here we go again. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is butting heads again with agent David Mulugheta of Athletes First.

Visit zeppelin.cool for more information.

Mulugheta was the agent for Micah Parsons when the Cowboys tried to negotiate with him last season before he was traded to the Green Bay Packers.

He is also the agent for George Pickens. Jones said on Tuesday, via Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, regarding Pickens: “If he worked without an agent, he’d save a lot of money... with me.”

Jones has mentioned in the past that he has negotiated with players one-on-one during the offseason, including Parsons, whom he claimed he had cut a deal with in early 2025 until his agent got involved.

Now it appears he’s trying to do the same thing with Pickens, and the NFL has yet to call him out on it.

According to the NFL Players Association, what Jones is doing is illegal and aimed at undermining the relationships between his players and their agents. Jones does so in part because the fine under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement is minimal. And Jones has made it clear that he’ll happily pay those fines.

So, unless the NFL does more than slap his hand, he’s going to keep pulling this stunt.
