Tiffany Greene has always had a passion for sports. Her enthusiasm shines in each of her broadcasts as a play-by-play commentator for ESPN. But what excites Greene most is sharing her passion with young girls in her hometown of Tampa

She does that through her 'Game on! Girls Summit,' which she hosted on Wednesday morning inside Blake High School.

"This is something that, for me, is impactful work. The idea is you want to open the door so that others can flood through it," she said.

For the past three years, Greene's summit has inspired local high school girl athletes to pursue successful careers and gain financial literacy. More than 300 local athletes attended Wednesday's summit, which featured a panel of local women with careers in multiple fields and a financial workshop sponsored by Chase Bank.

Greene's motivation to give back comes from the women who poured into her when she was a student at Hillsborough High School.

"So many people spent time....[and] showed me what was possible, and that's exactly what I hope to share with these young women. Also, to let them know they are good enough to reach their dreams and exceed those dreams," she said.

For Greene, she enjoys calling game-winning touchdowns and walk-off home runs. But the 'Game on! Girls Summit gives her a deeper level of joy.

"It's near and dear to my heart because I want to make an impact," she said.

She hopes the attendees from the past three years will share their passion with the next generation of girls in sports.

"It's the 'see her, be her' type of thought process that it's important for them to know," she said.
