⚾BASEBALL - Division I
La Salle 7, Smithfield 5
XavierRios and Brady Collins each drove in two runs helping the Rams come from behind to knock off the Sentinels.
La Salle took a two-run lead in the top of the first, but Smithfield scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the first to take a 5-2 lead. The big blow in the inning came off the bat of Connor Curtis who tripled to drive in three runs.
The Rams would tie the game at 5-5 in the top of the seventh with as they took advantage of Jayce Bessette double.
In the top of the eighth inning, the Rams retook the lead when, Rios who singled and Collins who was hit by a pitch, eventually scored to make the score 7-5, which ended up being the final tally.
Rios, Collins and Bronx Discullio and Axel da Silva each had two hits in the win.
South Kingstown 2, East Providence 1
The pitching was good on both sides as the game ended in a walk-off in the eighth inning when Finn Henderson drove in the Rebels’ second run with a single.
South Kingstown pitchers struck out eight batters while East Providence hurlers struck out 10. Cole Rosen earned the win for South Kingstown. The starter gave up three hits and one unearned run over seven innings. Jose Figueroa took the loss for East Providence. The righty went 1⅓ innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit. Jonathan Renaud led things off on the mound for the Townies. He allowed four hits and one run over 5⅔ innings, striking out nine and walking four.
Hendricken 9, Cranston East 1
Edgar Rodriquez’s double drove in a run in the bottom of the first inning to put the Hawks on the board. He would lead the team with three RBIs in the game. Bishop Hendricken added runs in the second and third to make the score 6-0.
Stephen Maynard started the game on the mound for the Hawks and allowed five hits and one run over four innings, striking out four and walking three. Gregory Fleury and Braedon Daley pitched in relief of Maynard. Tyler Chisholm led Cranston East with two hits in three at-bats.
Barrington 1, Cranston West 0
Nate Coutant threw a shutout and Rocco DaFonseca hit a solo home run to right field in the fourth inning to seal the victory for the Eagles. The pitching was strong on both sides as Barrington hurlers struck out seven batters while Cranston West pitchers struck out nine.
Alex Milano pitched well but took the loss for the Falcons. He went six innings, giving up one run on three hits, striking out nine and walking two.
⚾BASEBALL - Division III
Exeter-West Greenwich 8, Tiverton 0
The Scarlet Knights got all the runs they needed in the second inning when they scored five. Tyler Medeiros began the game on the mound for Exeter-West Greenwich and pitched a one-hit shutout, striking out 14 batters and walking none. JJ Langlais and Dylan Main each collected two hits for Exeter-West Greenwich. James Conley got the hit for the Tigers.
Cumberland 10, Westerly 0
Clippers' starting pitcher Brady Stenovitch turned in a sterling performance on the mound as he allowed no runs on only one hit while striking out eight batters as the Clippers rolled to victory over the Bulldogs.
Supporting Stenovitch's performance at the plate were Micah Cousineau, who had had 3 hits, 3 RBI ands scored 2 runs and Paxton Chenevert, who had 2 hits, 2 RBI and scored twice.
Kevin Saglio had the lone hit for for Westerly in the loss

🥎SOFTBALL- Division I
Westerly 14, Fitch Academy (CT) 3
The Bulldogs scored early and often to dispatch their Connecticut opponents.
Addison Poole was 2-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored, Ella Keegan was 3-4 with four runs scored and three RBIs, Dacia Gingerella (2-4) drove in a pair and scored once, and Abi Emery was 2-2 with two runs scored.
Frankie Arnold struck out six through three innings before Avery Gingerella closed it out by pitching the final two frames in this mercy-rule shortened affair.
East Providence 4, Prout 0
What had been a scoreless game through five innings changed quickly in the bottom half of the sixth when Cassie Dulude and Caroline Welch both walked, and Ella Grimley doubled them both home.
Then Trinity Provencher added two more on a home run to left field.
Marianna Pina, who came on in relief, closed the door and clinched the Townies' victory. Pina and Dulude combined to strike out 11, and allowed two hits.
Crusaders starter Lily Sheehan had a shutout through five before surrendering the runs in the sixth. She struck out 13 and walked two in the loss.
Pilgrim 6, Moses Brown 2
The Patriots plated three runs in the first inning and that proved to be enough as they tacked on some insurance to topple the Quakers.
Addison Dempsey drove in a pair and Abigail Bryson was 1-2 with two runs scored in the victory.
In the circle, Gretchen Dombeck threw a complete game for Pilgrim, striking out seven and allowing two runs on two hits.
For Moses Brown, Ava Lourenco was 2-3 with a run scored and Abby DeWolf and Cela Bodurtha each drove in a run. Starter Abby McAuliffe struck out seven through five innings in the loss.
🥎SOFTBALL- Division III
Rogers 15, Mt. Pleasant 0
There was no slowing the Vikings offense in this one. Rogers scored eight times in the first, seven more runs crossed the plate in the second, and the game was called after three innings.
Lila Leys threw three scoreless no-hit innings, striking out seven, and went 2-2 at the plate with a home run.
Nora Gardullo was also 2-2, with two runs scored, Amelia Wallace was 2-3, with three RBIs and two runs scored, and Maeve Higgins was 2-2, with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs.

🥍BOYS LACROSSE - Division II
Westerly 13, Chariho 3
Evan Morissette paced the Bulldogs with four goals and three assists and Logan Unkuri scored twice to lead Westerly over the Chargers.
Other Bulldogs who scored were Ian Morissette, Caleb Williams, Brayden Antoch, Owen Faubert, Drew Morrone, James Tolmie and Sam Turano.
In net, Westerly goalies Alex Mynuk and Ben Romano combined for five saves.
For Chariho, Ben Holt scored twice and Logan Smith scored once in the loss, all in the fourth quarter. Goalie Morgan Campbell made four saves in the loss.

Lucy Biggs came up big for the Clippers as she scored five goals and had 2 assists and teammates Brooke Tellier, Ella Mancuso and Hadley H Henderson all scored hattricks as Cumberland romped.
For the Rebels, Oliva Squires and Chloe Quirk had a goal each in the loss.
🥍GIRLS LACROSSE - Division III
Smithfield 14, East Providence 3
Annabelle Lally score three goals and three other girls - Emma Tutken, Grace Young and Kaela Mechler scored 2 apiece in the Sentinels victories over the Townies.
Nadiyah Calouro-Vargas scored 2 goals and Sydney Olson added another score for East Providence in the loss.
Westerly 16, Chariho 0
Gianna Falcone found the back of the net 5 times and assisted on 3 other score and Ella Seltzer added 4 goals and a helper as Westerly rolled over Chariho.
Also contributing to the win were Phoebe Brennan with 2 goals and 2 assists, Casey Macera with 2 goals and 1 assist, Sienna Fizzano with 1 goal Jenna Parker with 1 goal and an assist and Macy Antoch with 1 goal
For the Chargers, Kayden Jaillet, recorded 3 goals and an assist, and Audrey Currier and Alexis Comella had two goals each in the loss.

Robbie Daniels led the Thunderbolts to the victory with 35 kills and five blocks. Jordan Frisone had 16 kills and Aggerson Vetiaque contributed 15 kills.For the Oakers, Cameron Marcotte finished with 17 kills, 11 digs and two blocks; Zackary Rzemien had 29 assists, six digs, two kills and two blocks; and Jeremy Centi had 11 digs and nine kills.
La Salle 3, North Kingstown 0
Daniel Ayorinde had 5 kills and 4 blocks and Flavio Tavares had 13 kills and 12 digs helping La Salle sweep North Kingstown, 25-18, 26-24, 25-23.
For NK, Sean Peters and Tim Harrington combined for 18 kills in the loss
Barrington 3, East Providence 2
In one of the more competitive volleyball matches on the night, the Eagles escaped with a 3-0 win (28-30, 14-25,25-23, 25-22, 15-8) over the Townies.
Donovan Parks led the way for Barrington as he had 16 kills, 18 digs and 3 aces. Also figuring in the victory were Cal Oberacker, who had 11 kills and 15 digs and Logan Lane, who recorded 38 assists.
For EP, Ethan Pereira had a night with 12 kills and 13 dDigs, Alex Robinson dished off 30 assists, and Ean Williamson was good for 15 digs.
Cranston West 3, Chariho 1
Ziyue Wang led the way to the victory (25-21, 25-23, 16-25, 25-23) for the Falcons with 18 kills, two assists, two blocks and two digs. Ashton Mak contributed 35 assists, three kills, two blocks and six digs. Eli Lopez amassed 11 kills, a block and eight digs.
For the Chargers, Reid McCann had 11 kills and 11 digs. Ricky Comolli contributed 3 aces and 15 assists.
🏐BOYS VOLLEYBALL - Division III
Mount Pleasant 3, Toll Gate 1
Jordan Robertson led the Kilties with 16 kills, two blocks and five digs, Anthony Berroa had 12 kills and nine digs, and Jeremias Ixcuna recorded 34 assists in the win (29-27, 25-23,10-25, 25-11).
For the Titans, Rowan Pereira had a game-high 20 kills and 11 digs, and Gianni Young-Wright made 32 assists in the loss.
St. Raphael 3, Hope 1
The play of Jaymeson Taylor (8 kills, 5 assists, 3 digs), Brighton Champagne (7 kills, 3 aces, 2 digs) and Cameron McVeigh (6 kills, 7 aces) paved the way for the Saints win over the Blue Wave.
For Hope in the loss, Evan Souvanvang recorded 24 assists and 6 aces, Faith Wilson had 7 kills and 6 blocks and Karl Desir had 7 kills and 7 digs.
