Durham police probing 'targeted' homicide in Ajax

Police are investigating a “targeted” homicide early Tuesday in Ajax.
Durham Regional Police say their officers have “a large police presence in the area of Taunton Rd. and Harwood Ave. N. in Ajax for a homicide investigation.”

Investigators believe the incident was targeted and said “there are currently no concerns for public safety.”
There was no immediate information on the victim or any suspects. Police said they will be providing an update at 10 a.m.
