The ‘Aspar Universe' Expands With The First Global Motorcycling Academy
Jorge Martínez "Aspar's" legacy continues to grow with his most ambitious project
After more than 40 years shaping the future of motorcycling, Jorge Martínez "Aspar" continues to invest in young talent by creating a genuine and unparalleled racing ecosystem. The "Aspar Universe" is born as a powerful sporting structure prepared to discover and develop talent from the ground up to reach the highest levels of competition.
The first global motorcycling academy brings together all levels in the training of future riders, from minibikes in the MIR Racing Aspar Cup to the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships, including the PreMoto4 and Moto4 categories in the Spanish Championship, as well as the Moto4 European Cup, the Moto3 Junior, the Moto2 and the Stock European Championships.
This sporting structure boasts nearly 200 riders from over 30 nationalities, demonstrating Jorge Martínez "Aspar's" commitment to both Spanish and international motorcycling. In addition to the two Spanish riders, the Colombian and the Argentinian competing in the World Championship, there is a Kyrgyz, an Italian, and a Spaniard in Moto3 Junior, two more Spaniards in the Moto4 European Cup, four more Spaniards and a French rider in the Moto2 and Stock European Championships with the TopSurface Aspar Team, and another Spaniard, a Chinese rider, and two Americans in the Spanish Championship. Furthermore, the MIR Racing Aspar Cup features riders from 32 nationalities, including countries such as Taiwan, Morocco, and Bolivia.
Besides the racing project, Aspar runs a school in partnership with KSB Sport, continuing to train riders for competition. This is also an exportable model that has already begun to be implemented in China, in collaboration with CFMOTO, and aims to reach more countries soon.
Alongside the sporting aspect, the Aspar Universe also prioritizes training, not only for the athletes themselves through the riders' academy, but also for future racing mechanics. Since 2020, the Aspar KSB Technical Academy has offered a specialized motorcycle mechanics program, in which students can learn in real-world environments, thanks in particular to the presence of an in-house team in the Spanish Championship.
The heart of this universe is the Aspar Circuit. Located just minutes from Valencia, it boasts top-level facilities, perfect for rider preparation, business development, and networking. It is home to the racing teams, as well as the training grounds for students of the Aspar KSB Technical Academy and the Jorge Martínez "Aspar" and Aspar Team museum.
Jorge Martínez "Aspar": "The ‘Aspar Universe' is a unique project that reflects many years of work. I'm very happy to create something different and to try to contribute to motorcycling by developing young talent, which is very important. We give many young riders the opportunity to grow and reach the elite level in the future, and what fulfills me most is seeing that it's an international project with riders from very different countries.
We are building a legacy that is very important to me. Furthermore, it's a model that we have already replicated in China, and that we want to export to other countries in the future. In addition, we are currently enjoying a successful period in the sport because we are seeing the results of almost ten years of work. Bringing together the entire project-the academy, the racing teams, and the circuit-is something we should be proud of."
