The Cavaliers beat the Raptors on Sunday, May 3, 102-114 in Game 7 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. With one minute remaining in the fourth quarter and the Cavs up by 16, it was safe to say that the Cavs were going home with the win.
"Lmao the arena staff said 'Drake been quiet since the beef' Cavs really waited till Game 7 to drop the nuclear troll option. Toronto fans catching strays two years later is wild," one fan reacted to the moment on X.
"Cavs turned the arena into a victory concert," a fan replied.
" Playing 'Not Like Us' right after sending the Raptors home is cold-blooded…Cleveland really wanted to make sure that loss stings (ICEMAN isn’t happy)," another fan commented, referring to Drake's album ICEMAN, which is set to drop on May 15.
Drake is a Toronto native, and he and Kendrick notably got into a public feud back in 2024 as they went back and forth with diss tracks. While Drake reacted to Kendrick's "Not Like Us" with "The Heart Part 6," many fans felt that the Compton native's track was the nail in the coffin by audience standards. "Not Like Us" went on to win five Grammy awards in 2025, which was followed by Kendrick's historic Super Bowl halftime show performance. His halftime show is now the most-viewed in history, surpassing Michael Jackson's 1993 show.
As for the Cavs, they will be taking on the Detroit Pistons in round two of the NBA Playoffs. Their first game will be on Tuesday, May 5 in Detroit.
