Dodgers Giving Away Blake Snell Bobblehead on Saturday

· Yahoo Sports

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell is nearing his return, but if you can’t wait to see Snellzilla back in Dodger Stadium, Saturday might be a great time to take in a game.

The Dodgers are hosting the Atlanta Braves, and the first 40,000 fans in attendance will get the Blake Snell “Starter Series” bobblehead.

That sounds like a lot, but Dodger Stadium’s capacity is 56,000, and sought-after bobbleheads can draw a crowd.

In some cases, fans line up for hours, so be sure to get there early enough to grab your bobblehead.

Like the other bobbleheads in the “Starter Series,” Snell’s bobblehead shows him during a celebratory yell.

The bases of the “Starter Series” come together to spell out “2025 World Champion Starters,” and Snell’s bobblehead is meant to go first.

Where has Blake Snell been?

Snell has been recovering from a shoulder injury, and he’s been rehabbing in the minor leagues recently, including the Ontario Tower Buzzers and the Oklahoma City Comets.

He has another rehab start with the Tower Buzzers set for Saturday in Rancho Cucamonga, but he could be headed back to the Dodgers after that.

As reported by Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register, Saturday is likely to be Snell’s last rehab start before returning to the Dodgers.

That will create a much-discussed roster crunch, especially in the starting pitching rotation.

Tyler Glasnow’s recent injury might give the Dodgers a bit more time to make a decision, but ultimately, someone will have to be moved.

Likely choices include Roki Sasaki and Emmet Sheehan.

Three other bobbleheads are included in the “Starter Series.”

Here’s who’s depicted and when you can get them:

  • Tyler Glasnow’s bobblehead debuts on June 6 against the Los Angeles Angels.
  • Shohei Ohtani’s comes out Aug. 22 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
  • Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s will be released Sept. 5 against the Washington Nationals.
