Late Osborn goal helps Stockport earn first-leg advantage

Stockport County struck late to earn a first-leg advantage over Stevenage in the League One play-off semi-finals.
Boro will have it all to do when they travel to Stockport after having absorbed pressure but ultimately conceded late on. The Hatters were the better of the two sides on the day and deserved their goal late on even if it was in the end an opportunistic strike.

Kyle Wootton had almost helped his side take the lead inside the first minute with Stockport instead having to wait until deep into stoppage time to gain a first-leg advantage.
The goal came in the fourth minute stoppage time and began with Benony Andrésson, a 91st minute substitute, who wasn't able to finish when he was through on goal. However, Stevenage weren't able to mop up allowing the on-rushing Ben Osborn to poke the ball in.
That result means that Dave Challinor's side have a narrow advantage before the return leg at Edgeley Park on Wednesday. Boro meanwhile have it all to do.
