According to Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller, Jacas was seen standing and watching from the side in his jersey during practice.

Weller wrote:

"Patriots first-round pick Caleb Lomu was out there on Saturday, but the team was without their second and third-round picks as Gabe Jacas and Eli Raridon did not participate. Jacas was outside and in his jersey, but had no helmet and stood to the side watching practice."

Jacas was the second player that the Patriots selected in the 2026 NFL Draft at No. 55 overall. The Illinois product finished fifth in the FBS in sacks last season with 11. He also had three forced fumbles and 13.5 tackles for loss on the year.

Raridon was New England’s third-round pick in 2026 at No. 95 overall. The 22-year-old tight end recorded 482 receiving yards on 15.1 yards per reception in 2025 at Notre Dame.

Jacas and Raridon will get their next opportunity to participate in on-field activities on the final day of Patriots rookie minicamp on Sunday. Jacas is in line to play on the edge behind Harold Landry and Dre’Mont Jones in 2026, while Raridon is set to play behind Hunter Henry at tight end next season.
