LSU baseball was swept again over the weekend, dropping all three games to Georgia in Athens. LSU has now been swept in four of its last five series. LSU's lone SEC wins in that span came when LSU swept South Carolina, a team that ranks just below LSU at the bottom of the SEC.

LSU's postseason chances aren't looking good. LSU needed to make a statement in Athens -- the Tigers did anything but that. Aside from Game 1, when LSU held an early lead, the Tigers were not competitive against the Bulldogs.
LSU did not give its RPI the boost that it needed. After the UGA series, LSU ranks No. 57 in RPI. RPI is a critical metric for the NCAA Tournament selection committee, and No. 57 is far from where LSU needs to be for an at-large bid.
LSU missed a chance to add quadrant-one wins vs. the Dawgs, and now LSU enters the final week of the regular season with only four quadrant-one wins on its resume. Meanwhile, LSU has five quad-one losses. The lack of quad one wins paired with a surplus of bad losses is not a good combination on a resume.
It would take a near miracle for LSU to make the NCAA Tournament at this point. It would likely require LSU to sweep Florida and then win a game or two in the SEC Tournament.
