Southern Maryland 6, Hagerstown 3

WALDORF, Md. -- The South Division-leading Blue Crabs (13-6), led by a 3-for-4 day by Viandel Pena that included a home run, scored four runs in the first two innings and never trailed in the opener of a six-game series.

Tyler Williams homered in the third inning and Jackson Hauge hit a two-run homer in the fourth for the Boxcars (12-7), who remained atop the North Division by two games over Lancaster and Long Island.

Jack Eisenbarger took the loss for Hagerstown, allowing four earned runs on two hits and four walks while striking out three over five innings.
