It's always been clear that she can get buckets, but could she fit well enough in a team construct? That's what has been less clear during her time in the WNBA.
On Wednesday night, everything was working for Carter, and she so far looks like a steal for the Aces.
In a second-half runaway from the Connecticut Sun, Carter was brilliant, including this buzzer beater to end the third quarter:

Her final stat line was actually quite historic.
She finished with:
- 27 points
- 13-16 FG
- 8 assists
- 2 steals

Carter is the second bench guard in WNBA history to have a game with 25-plus points on at least 80% shooting, according to StatMuse. The first was Riquana Williams.

The Aces clearly were a talented bunch already, and the hope likely would've been that a winning environment could help Carter find the right parts of her approach.
So far, so good.
If Carter keeps doing this, the Aces will be even more dangerous than anyone would've expected.
