Zwilling electric kettle recall in Canada after reported burn incidents

Thousands of Zwilling electric kettles have been recalled due to a potential burn hazard.

In Canada, 43,963 Zwilling electric kettles have been recalled for handles that “may loosen or break off entirely during use,” said Health Canada . In the United States, 113,590 of the kettles were sold.
“ In isolated cases, the product defect may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or bystanders in the immediate area, including small children,” the recall notice stated.
Dozens of reported incidents
Zwilling said it has received 21 reports of incidents in Canada, with one potential injury. The company received 96 reported incidents in the United States, with one report of potential injury.
The recalled kettles were sold between February 2020 and February 2026. The kettles have labels marked on the side with “MAX 1.5L” or have an indicated maximum capacity of 10 cups, the recall noted.

Health Canada asks consumers with the affected kettles to stop using them and register for a return to get a refund from the company.
To return the recalled product, consumers can contact Zwilling via telephone at 1-866-963-4583 from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, by email at [email protected], or by visiting the company’s website .
