MM 5.21: Maryland men’s lacrosse earns commitment of Vermont transfer Colin Bullock

With Maryland men’s lacrosse’s massive senior class gone for good, head coach John Tillman looks to make a splash in the transfer portal. The Terps have already scored their first addition, inking Vermont transfer Colin Bullock according to Inside Lacrosse’s portal tracker.

Bullock spent three years playing as a short-stick defensive midfielder for the Catamounts, and looks to serve as a much-needed replacement for the exiting Eric Kolar. He comes to College Park with one year of eligibility remaining as a graduate transfer.

Bullock never started a game in his four years at Vermont, but logged solid numbers coming off the bench in 37 total appearances. 2026 was his most productive year, tallying eight caused turnovers and 13 ground ball pickups.

This marks Tillman’s second Vermont transfer intake in as many years, as faceoff specialist Henry Dodge followed the same trajectory last offseason. Dodge solidified himself as a reliable presence at the X in 2026 — winning 67.9 percent of his faceoff opportunities — and will return to Maryland next season.
