Spurs, relative to rival West Ham, are in control of their own destiny as far as top-flight safety is concerned. But there's still work to do.
Tottenham will take on Everton while the Hammers take on Leeds United. Since it's the final day, the matches will kick off concurrently on Sunday.
Everything is on the line. One of these proud London clubs is going down. The other one is staying up. And the margin will be thin.
Tottenham final day relegation scenarios
Spurs enters the final day on 38 points with a negative-10 goal differential.
West Ham has 36 points and a negative-22 goal differential.
So there are three paths toward Tottenham survival:
Win
With a win, Tottenham stays up no matter what.
Draw
If Tottenham draws, safety is secure unless West Ham wins by 12 goals over Leeds.
Loss
Tottenham can still stay up with a loss if West Ham draws or loses themselves.
If Spurs lose and West Ham wins, the Hammers are safe and Tottenham goes down.
