The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered one of their worst losses of the 2025-26 season in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Of course, this team has barely lost games, but this was a disappointing result for sure.

As OKC's star player, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is relied upon to make a difference for his team. Unfortunately, that was not the case in Game 4 because he had a bad game for his extremely high standards as a back-to-back MVP.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is ready to learn from the Game 4 blowout
Game 4 was a troubling result for the Thunder because they were blown out by the San Antonio Spurs. It was a tough loss to deal with, especially since Victor Wembanyama was back to his best on Sunday.
The Spurs have been matching the Thunder's performances in this series. Considering this is their first postseason run as a group, it is quite impressive that they are going blow-for-blow with the defending champions.

SGA is the Thunder's best player and locker room leader, so he will want to motivate his teammates again. It was a magnificent result for the Spurs, but it will be a good lesson learned for Shai and the rest of the Thunder.
"Whether you win or lose, you want to learn lessons from the game. When you lose, a lot of the lessons are a little bit louder, and that's just how we view it. You want to learn through the wins, but sometimes you lose, and you gotta get better," SGA said after Game 4 of the WCF.
"In a series, that's what it's about, getting better and being better when you're done with a series than you were when you started the series, and give yourself a chance, that's what we focus on."
The Thunder are still in a good spot, as they are two games away from a second consecutive trip to the NBA Finals. If they want to do so, they must learn from their mistakes in Game 4 because the Spurs could overwhelm them.
