With Brodina pitching in the bottom of the seventh, Moorhead drew two walks before Mason Groce hit a walk-off three-run home run, winning the first game of sections 11-8. Due to the double-elimination format, another loss for the Lumberjacks will end their season.

Moorhead scored two runs in the first two innings off of starter Gunner Ganske to lead 2-0 early. Miles Gish got one back in the third inning, thanks to an RBI single. A hit batter with the bases loaded and Kash Rasmus' RBI single in the fourth inning made it 4-2 Bemidji.

The lead didn't last long. The Spuds scored one before Jackson Gaard hit a three-run home run into left field to take the lead right back, 6-4.

The Jacks scored one in the fifth inning from a Lawson Berg solo shot to trail 6-5, but the Spuds added two in the bottom of the inning to make it 8-5. BHS scored three runs in the next two innings before Groce hit his walk-off home run.
