Tennessee football legacy transfers to LSU

Former Catholic High School (Knoxville, Tennessee) two-sport athlete Kaden Martin transferred to LSU where he will play football for former Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin.

Martin, the son of former Tennessee national championship quarterback and assistant coach Tee Martin, committed to the Tigers on May 22.

Kaden Martin is playing for his fourth school. He first attended Miami for baseball in 2022, East Tennessee State in 2023 for baseball and football at Middle Tennessee State from 2024-25.

Kaden Martin will join his father at LSU. Tee Martin is serving as an offensive analyst for the Tigers.

Kaden Martin played baseball at Catholic in 2019 and was named District 4-AAA Rookie of the Year. In 2021, he set Catholic's single-season home run record (13) and was named an All-American by Perfect Game.

At Catholic, he also played football for head coach Steve Matthews, a former Tennessee quarterback. In two seasons for the Fighting Irish, Kaden Martin totaled 2,605 passing yards, 20 passing touchdowns and 18 rushing touchdowns.
