Are the Buffalo Bills and Stefon Diggs close to reunion?

If the Instagram account of franchise left tackle Dion Dawkins is to be believed… it could be in the cards.

Earlier this week, it was media day for the Bills — in full uniform, many players filmed hype videos to be used during the upcoming season on social media, the JumboTron inside new Highmark Stadium etc. On Dawkins’ post showing his videos from media day, one of the first comments came from none other than Stefon Diggs’ official Instagram account. The response from Dawkins is what has lit the reunion rumors:

Of course, underneath Dawkins’ response back to Diggs are now a litany of speculative posts about if Dawkins was indeed breaking enormous Bills news.

Dawkins is one of most active Bills players on social media. He’s also one of the silliest players off the field in the entire league.

But that doesn’t mean his response to Diggs here was just a joke.

While I don’t think we can completely ignore the possibility of Diggs re-signing with the Bills — particularly given Buffalo’s head coach is no longer Sean McDermott, whom Diggs had a pretty public spat with three years ago ahead of the team’s mandatory minicamp.

The way I’m reading this exchange and what feels most likely here — Dawkins would welcome Diggs back to the team. But he’s the left tackle. Not the GM.

Because Dawkins did go out of his way to send that specific response to Diggs’ official Instagram account, with the plane takeoff then plane landing emojis, is something. And it’ll be worth monitoring for all the social media sleuths out there.

While I can’t confirm how often Diggs himself is posting on/using the official Stefon Diggs Instagram — because a lot of star athletes and celebrities have employees to run their official social media accounts — I do know he posts more frequently on another Instagram account @ineedtherapyfrr.

I’ll have more on Diggs on the site shortly.
