The Blackjacks tied for the Camden title with a 10-1 record and 15-7 overall. Lac qui Parle Valley was also 10-1 in the conference and 13-8 overall. Dawson-Boyd beat LQPV 5-2 during the regular season. It's only conference loss was 4-3 to Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on April 21 in Milroy.
And, the Blackjacks made a long Section 3A playoff run, eventually falling to Adrian/Ellsworth in the losers' bracket after falling to eventual section champ Murray County Central 4-0.
YME wound up in second place in the Camden softball standings with an 11-2 record. The Sting finished 20-7 overall. Minneota/Canby won the Camden with a 13-0 conference record and was 18-7 overall.
YME's Bayli Sneller was named conference MVP and Jen Sneller, YME's head coach and Bayli's mother, was named Camden coach of the year.
Both of YME's Camden losses were to Minneota/Canby on April 21 in Minneota, 3-0 and 3-0. YME also had a long Section 3A playoff run, winning four straight games, including 1-0 over BOLD. BOLD then came back to beat the Sting 2-1 and 8-1 to capture the 3A championship. The Warriors then made a strong state tournament run, finishing third in Class A. The Warriors lost to eventual two-time state champion United South Central 5-3 in the state semifinals.
