Standing in the Bulldogs' way in the opener is No. 6 seed Texas (45-13), which is making its fourth College World Series appearance since 2021 as it hunts for a first national title since 2005.
Bulldogs fans tuning in will want to keep a close eye on star catcher Daniel Jackson, who anchors the lineup with a .396 batting average, 1.329 OPS, 31 home runs and 26 stolen bases.
