Being a WWE superstar comes with its risks and we’ve seen a number of top talents have to call it a day over the years.

One of the big reasons many wrestlers end up having to stop is due to neck problems.

The likes of Big E and Jason Jordan have had to call it quits, while Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan spent years battling neck injuries as well alongside Edge (Adam Copeland) who retired before returning over a decade later.

There is a huge element of bad luck involved in such a scenario but it seems that the neck curse might have struck again on the current roster.

Piper Niven could be forced to retire after injuring her neck

We haven’t seen Piper Niven on our screens for well over a year now and it’s well documented that this is down to neck issues.

Niven’s character was very much at the point of being ‘over’ alongside Chelsea Green but sadly, she had to step away.

Now, after undergoing further surgery, Niven has taken to social media this weekend to suggest that while she hopes to be back in the ring one day, it might not actually be doable.

At just 35, it would be a real shame for Niven to have to call it a day after spending years developing her skills before finally coming to WWE.

Hailing from Scotland, Niven is one of only a few female wrestlers to have really made it big with WWE when coming from European shores.

Of course, health and wellbeing is the main priority for Niven and if she does have to retire, she’ll go out knowing she made it right to the top.

Still, being in her 30s should be seeing her in her prime really and it would be a huge shame if injury halts her.
