The stars were out once again for Game 5 of the NBA Finals. With the New York Knicks looking to clinch their first NBA championship in more than 50 years and the San Antonio Spurs fighting to keep their season alive, celebrities packed the arena Saturday night for one of the biggest games of the year.

Among those in attendance was actress Sydney Sweeney.

SNY shared video of Sweeney arriving before tipoff, showing the Hollywood star wearing a white shirt featuring "New York 11" across the front as she made her way into the arena.

It was another reminder of just how much attention this Knicks playoff run has generated.

Sydney Sweeney joins growing list of celebrity Knicks supporters

The Knicks' surprising run to the NBA Finals has turned Madison Square Garden and road playoff games alike into celebrity hotspots throughout the postseason. Actors, musicians, athletes and entertainers have frequently been spotted courtside as New York has moved within one win of an NBA title.

Sweeney's appearance added another notable name to that list. The actress, best known for her roles in HBO's "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus," has become one of Hollywood's biggest stars over the last several years. Her appearance at Game 5 quickly generated attention on social media, particularly because of the New York-themed shirt she chose for the occasion.

Whether she was there specifically supporting the Knicks or simply taking in one of the biggest sporting events of the year, fans quickly noticed her arrival.

Knicks enter Game 5 with championship opportunity

Sweeney's appearance came as the Knicks entered the night holding a 3-1 series lead over the Spurs. New York moved within one victory of a championship after OG Anunoby's dramatic game-winning tip-in delivered a 107-106 win in Game 4 earlier this week.

The play instantly became one of the defining moments of the Finals and put enormous pressure on San Antonio heading into Game 5. The Spurs, led by Victor Wembanyama, arrived knowing a loss would end their season. Meanwhile, the Knicks had an opportunity to capture the franchise's first championship since 1973.

That combination made Game 5 one of the most anticipated games of the NBA season. And before the opening tip even took place, Sweeney had already become one of the most talked-about people in the building thanks to her courtside appearance and New York-themed outfit.

As the Finals spotlight continues to grow, so does the list of celebrities hoping to witness history in person.
