UFC Freedom 250 delayed at White House due to incoming thunderstorms

MMA fans will need to wait a little bit longer for the historic UFC Freedom 250 event outside the White House on Sunday night because of an issue the weather forecast has been predicting.

On Sunday night, the UFC announced that Freedom 250 would be pushed back one hour due to thunderstorms that are looming in the area.
Earlier in the day, the Weather Channel warned that the weather could cause some disruptions.

Because of the delay, UFC Freedom 250 will now kick off coverage on Paramount+ at 8:00 p.m. ET, with the first fight between Diego Lopes and Steve Garcia set to begin at 9:00 p.m. ET.

UFC Freedom 250 is set to be headlined by a lightweight championship bout between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje, while an interim heavyweight title fight between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane will serve as the co-main event.
