In a video posted by The African Royal Families, the Prince said:

“My daughter has asked me not to say anything. She has a pending divorce case at the Pretoria High Court, which is taking time,” he said.

“So now I’m asking you, MaNdebele, do not make her suffer. She has to go; she is not going because of us or on her own, but because her husband was tired of her,” he added.

“You will hear about this divorce yourselves since he’s passed away. Divorce is a legal matter now in the hands of the court. I urge you to be calm and civil,” he said.

“She will not take anything from you. Let’s wait for the mourning period and release her peacefully,” he added.

In August 2024, rumour had it that all may not be rosy in the royal love court.

According to Zimoja, the late King allegedly kicked Queen Sekhothali out of their palace for unspecified reasons.

The article also stated that the Queen had been struggling to make ends meet, allegedly staying in a student’s residence in Pretoria.

A source who spoke exclusively to Zimoja said:

“She was kicked out of the royal house. She has been squatting with students in Pretoria at a dump. The place has no water and no proper sanitation. She is struggling and hustles to even get food to eat.”

In November 2024, rumours swirled that the Queen had an extramarital affair with Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, the prime minister of the AmaZulu nation.

According to City Press, the prime minister provided perks that even her husband did not, such as accommodation and a rented car, since reports suggested that she was kicked out of the royal palace.

A source that spoke exclusively to the City Press said:

“They are actually separated. The Queen was kicked out of the royal house in Mpumalanga, so she decided to share her bed with Thulasizwe.”
