Bayern Munich target Nathaniel Brown has impressed Captain Kimmich
· Yahoo Sports
Germany’s impressive showing against Curaçao in their opening game of the World Cup had several takeaways. From Germany and Bayern’s common perspective, Nathaniel Brown’s performance was of significance. The 23-year-old wingback scored and assisted in the runaway 7-1 scoreline. Joshua Kimmich, who holds key leadership positions for club and country praised the wingback for his contributions.
Following the fantastic opener, Kimmich was asked whether Brown spoke to him about Bayern amid the transfer speculation. “Generally he’s a very quiet guy off the pitch. He’s always in a group with Assan and Pavlo. On the pitch he’s very brave and brings his qualities. He hasn’t asked me yet about FC Bayern. But I’m happy that we have him here. He played a great game on Sunday with a goal and an assist,” answered Kimmich.

The assist from Brown was from a precise corner kick which hung in the air giving Nico Schlotterbeck sufficient time to head home Germany’s second goal. The goal from Brown was a poacher’s style finish that saw him bury Deniz Undav’s flick in the far corner with a tantalizing touch. A pacey fullback who can sing along Bayern’s all attacking tunes would be a fine addition worthy of €55m in the long run.
