Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2026

Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Ltd. (MRVC) celebrated the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026 on 21 June 2026 with enthusiasm and active participation across its offices and project sites.

The programme at the Corporate Office was led by Vilas Sopan Wadekar, Chairman and Managing Director, along with Directors, S/Manish Pradhan, Abhishek Swami, H S Chaturvedi, officers and staff. Simultaneous yoga sessions were also organised at various field offices and project sites of MRVC.
The Corporate Office event at Churchgate was organised in collaboration with Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD Yoga). Certified trainers Ms Radhika & Ms Nitika guided participants through the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), including yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and inner balance. The event was coordinated by Anand Lokde, JGM.
More than 100 officers and staff members participated actively at the Corporate Office, reflecting MRVC’s commitment to fostering wellness, mindfulness and a healthy work-life balance. Employees at field offices and project sites also marked the occasion by practising yoga at their respective locations.
This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” highlighted the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life to support long-term health, resilience and holistic well-being. The observance reinforced the vital connection between individual wellness and a balanced, harmonious society.
