It’s been an interesting past two years for fans of Indiana football and perhaps an even more interesting two for everyone else, who’ve watched a once downtrodden program rise all the way to the sport’s mountaintop.
Among those in the latter camp is legendary former Purdue quarterback Drew Brees, who Bob Pockrass asked about the Hoosiers’ rise and eventual national title during an appearance as grand marshal of the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Naval Base Coronado.
