As a 6-foot-5 guard, Thomas has the skills necessary to be an effective player in the backcourt at the NBA level.
During his one season at Arkansas, Thomas showed his ability to score in a variety of ways, from appearing in games off the bench to playing in the starting rotation.
Thomas also had an impressive year of production, playing alongside Darius Acuff Jr., who was selected No. 7 overall by the Sacramento Kings, shooting a team-best from three-point range and ranking second on the team in scoring.
What were Meleek Thomas’ highlights, strengths and weaknesses at Arkansas?
During his only season with the Razorbacks, Thomas was one of the top freshmen in the SEC, beginning his collegiate career with one of the best debut performances in program history, putting up 21 points, leading the team with three steals, seven assists and six rebounds.
Thomas can also knock down the three-point shot, tallying 82 three-point field goals and finishing the year shooting the long-range at a 41 percent clip.

Thomas led the team in free-throw percentage (84.3) and steals (57). He also shot an Arkansas record 48.7 percent from three-point range during SEC play.
Along with being named to the All-SEC freshman team, Thomas put up a career-high 30 points against Missouri on March 7, earning him SEC freshman of the week for his performance.
During the team’s NCAA Tournament run to the Sweet 16, Thomas reached double figures in each game, putting up 21 against Hawaii in the first round, 19 against High Point and another 17 in the team’s season-ending loss to Arizona.
