Former Ohio State teammates wish Bruce Thornton well in the NBA

· Yahoo Sports

Former Ohio State guard and all-time leading scorer Bruce Thornton realized his dream of being drafted in the NBA when he was selected by the Houston Rockets with the first pick of the second round last week.

The Alpharetta, Georgia native will go down as one of the best to ever don the Scarlet and Gray, but he fell to the second round because a lot of scouts believe his lack of size and quickness will make it hard to translate to the NBA. Those in Buckeye Nation and those who know him aren't about to bet against him, however.

A few of Thornton's former teammates just so happened to be around the OSU program during Vets week, and they took some time out to provide some well-wishes to the All-Big Ten performer. Brice Sensabaugh, Justice Sueing, and Zed Kay all put messages together that were shared by the Ohio State Hoops creative team.

If you haven't seen them, you can watch and listen to what the trio had to say about a guy they have the utmost respect for.

Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye, and we'll continue to follow Thornton as he begins the next chapter of his basketball career at the highest level.
