Earlier on Sunday, United States striker Folarin Balogun had a red card suspension overturned. He'll get to play in the World Cup Round of 16 against Belgium on Monday.
Then on Sunday night in Mexico City, England right back Jarell Quansah was given a red card.
He was dismissed from England's Round of 16 match against Mexico, and that sets up a one-match suspension for Quansah, if his side advances to the quarterfinals.

There's certainly the potential for difficult questions.

Will Jarell Quansah's red card be overturned?
It seems unlikely, but after the Balogun decision, anything is possible.
Quansah's red card was a pretty classic decision. It looked like a red and was given a red. His boot went right over the ball and spiked a Mexico player in the side of the leg.
There's not a whole lot of questioning that it deserved the red on Sunday night.

The question will become, if one player doesn't have to face a one-match ban, why should Quansah?
England will have a case.
Will England win out here? They'll have to get past Mexico first.
If they do, there's now a new precedent that could play a part here.
