Leffler named Player of the Year, NEPA Softball Stars Headline All-State Teams

(WBRE/WYOU)-The Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association released its All-State teams for the 2026 season.

Pine Grove Area’s Callee Leffler was named the state’s Player of the Year after leading the Cardinals to back-to-back state championships. The future Florida State Seminole hit for a .639 average and mashed 18 home runs.
Several NEPA stars won Pitcher and Player of the Year awards for their respective classifications.
Abington Heights swept the awards in Class 5A. Junior Adrianna Condrad was named Pitcher of the Year. Junior OF Avary Brister was awarded the Class 5A Player of the Year.
Conrad went 18-2 with a 1.50 ERA. She struck out 191 batters. Brister sported a .598 batting average with 55 hits and 44 RBIs.
Class 4A was saw two District 2 pitchers take the hardware. Tunkhannock freshman Michaela Howell won Pitcher of the Year. Valley View P Abbi Call took home Player of the Year.
Howell pitched every inning for a 21-2 Tunkhannock team. She had a 1.77 ERA and 191 strikeouts.
Call was a two-way leader for the back-to-back state champions. She batted .615 with 10 home runs and 37 RBIs. She pitched over 50 scoreless innings this post season. The Clemson commit also struck out 178 batters.
Lake-Lehman senior P Hannah Chipego took was awarded Class 3A Pitcher of the Year. The James Madison commit posted a 17-3 record with a 0.47 ERA. She struck out 233 batters this season. Chipego now owns the WVC all-time career strikeouts record.
Northwest Area junior SS Ava Ruckle rounded out the award winners. She took home the Class 2A Player of the Year. Ruckle hit .547 on the year with 14 homers and 47 RBIs.
