NFL experts predict Panthers' record, ceiling and floor for 2026 season
· Yahoo Sports
How high, or low, can the Carolina Panthers go this year?
NFL Media has released their 2026 preview for the reigning NFC South champions. Their 14-minute breakdown features predictions on the team's record from seven experts.
Visit sportbet.rodeo for more information.
Here's how those turned out:
- Colleen Wolfe (NFL Media host): 8-9
- Nick Shook (NFL.com writer): 5-12
- Lance Zierlein (Draft analyst): 8-9
- Grant Gordon (NFL.com writer): 6-11
- Dan Parr (NFL.com writer): 7-10
- Brooke Cersosimo (NFL.com writer): 9-8
- Bucky Brooks (NFL.com analyst): 6-11
Yikes.
Outside of Cersosimo's 9-8 prediction, the experts aren't seeing improvement on 2025's 8-9 mark. That could have much to do with their upcoming schedule, which is expected to be the third-toughest slate in the entire league.
The preview also zeroed in on that schedule, and provided an optimistic game-by-game forecast on Carolina's ceiling:
If that's how the campaign goes down, the Panthers would finish with a 10-7 record—their best since 2017.
As for their floor, the Panthers are given a lowly 4-13 mark.
