NFL experts predict Panthers' record, ceiling and floor for 2026 season

How high, or low, can the Carolina Panthers go this year?

NFL Media has released their 2026 preview for the reigning NFC South champions. Their 14-minute breakdown features predictions on the team's record from seven experts.

Visit sportbet.rodeo for more information.

Here's how those turned out:

  • Colleen Wolfe (NFL Media host): 8-9
  • Nick Shook (NFL.com writer): 5-12
  • Lance Zierlein (Draft analyst): 8-9
  • Grant Gordon (NFL.com writer): 6-11
  • Dan Parr (NFL.com writer): 7-10
  • Brooke Cersosimo (NFL.com writer): 9-8
  • Bucky Brooks (NFL.com analyst): 6-11

Yikes.

Outside of Cersosimo's 9-8 prediction, the experts aren't seeing improvement on 2025's 8-9 mark. That could have much to do with their upcoming schedule, which is expected to be the third-toughest slate in the entire league.

The preview also zeroed in on that schedule, and provided an optimistic game-by-game forecast on Carolina's ceiling:

If that's how the campaign goes down, the Panthers would finish with a 10-7 record—their best since 2017.

As for their floor, the Panthers are given a lowly 4-13 mark.
