Transfer news: AmaZulu release 6 and sign 7 players

AmaZulu FC have completed a major squad overhaul by signing seven new players and releasing six ahead of the new Betway Premiership campaign.
The club unveiled Moses Shumah, Kgomotjo Lekoloane, Gape Moralo, Mncedi Vandala, Omega Mdaka, Keenan Phillips and Faveur Kouassi as their latest arrivals. The new recruits add experience and depth across several positions.

Shumah joins from Kenya, while Kouassi arrives from Ivory Coast. The remaining five signings strengthen the squad with proven local talent ahead of the new campaign.
The recruitment drive follows several departures as AmaZulu continue reshaping the squad. The club confirmed that six players will not return for the upcoming season.

SIX PLAYERS DEPART AMAZULU FC
Former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Richard Ofori headlines the list of exits alongside experienced midfielder Bongani Zungu. Sphephelo Majola, Mason Mushore, Thabiso Kutumela and Elmo Kambindu have also left the club.
The departures create room for the club’s new arrivals as AmaZulu prepare for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. The club will hope the fresh faces help deliver a stronger campaign under the technical team.
