With the 15th overall pick in the actual 2024 draft, the Colts landed defensive end Laiatu Latu, and that is exactly who they selected in Pereles' redraft.
"Latu quietly made a nice jump in 2025, his first season as a full-time starter," wrote Pereles. "He more than doubled his sacks (4.0 to 8.5) from his rookie year, posted a solid 14.7% pressure rate and somehow nabbed three(!) interceptions, two of which were outstanding individual plays. He's one of just two defensive linemen to post a three-interception season this century."
A few players who went after Latu in the redraft were C Graham Barton, C Zach Frazier, CB Nate Wiggins, WR Marvin Harrison Jr., and WR Rome Odunze.
In addition to generating more sacks, across the board, Latu took a step forward in Year 2. He went from totaling 38 pressures as a rookie to 61 this past season, which ranked as the 15th-most among his position group.
Latu has always brought impressive bend and burst to the defensive end position, but to help faciliate that next step, this offseason he's focused on adding more muscle to help with his power game.
Defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo believes that Latu can hit the double-digit sack mark this season.
