The second of the 2026 World Cup quarterfinal matches will take place on Friday, July 10, when Belgium takes on Spain at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Belgium reached the quarterfinals after a 4-1 rout of the United States in the round of 16. The emotional victory came at a price, however, as star midfielder Amadou Onana tore his ACL and will miss the rest of the World Cup (as well as a significant amount of time for his club team, Aston Villa, in the upcoming 2026-27 Premier League season). Belgium last reached the semifinals at the 2018 World Cup, when it won the third-place match.

The semifinal between the the Belgium vs. Spain winner and France will be held at AT&T Stadium (known as Dallas Stadium for the duration of the 2026 World Cup) in Arlington, Texas. This is the final of nine 2026 World Cup matches held at AT&T Stadium. The stadium is home to the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and is alternatively referred to as "Jerry World," a reference to the Cowboys' owner, Jerry Jones, and the sheer size of the facility. Prior to the World Cup, AT&T Stadium hosted numerous other soccer events, most notably 2024 Copa América matches, Concacaf Gold Cup matches and the 2024 Concacaf Nations League final. AT&T Stadium also hosted the 2015 College Football Playoff championship game as well as men's college basketball's Final Four in 2014. The stadium hosted one Super Bowl — Super Bowl 45, in which the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers.
