Oregon scores predictions to land pair of elite 2028 recruits
· Yahoo Sports
While the Oregon Ducks are hoping to close out a successful summer with another commitment or two in the 2027 recruiting class, the Ducks are shifting some focus to the 2028 cycle.
Oregon is in on some of the top recruits in the country in the next class, and it appears the coaching staff's early efforts are already starting to pay off. Rivals recruiting experts Brandon Huffman and Greg Biggins logged predictions on Friday for the Ducks to land a pair of top targets in the 2028 class: quarterback Josiah Boyd and defensive lineman Trison Satele.

Boyd is a top 100 recruit and the No. 5 quarterback in the class, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. Oregon is the dream school for the passer from Moreno Valley, California, and the Ducks have made Boyd feel like a priority early in the process.
However, quarterbacks often don't commit so early on, so the Ducks will need to keep it up to potentially lock him in during the fall. Kentucky is the biggest challenger to Oregon in the recruitment, thanks to Will Stein's influence now working against the Ducks.
Satele is another important target for the Ducks. Trison Satele is the younger brother of current Oregon linebacker commit Toa Satele, and the younger Satele is the top recruit in Hawaii in the 2028 cycle. The brothers have shown interest in playing together in college, and Oregon is an easy fit with Toa already locked in.
Satele is the No. 171 recruit nationally, per the Rivals Industry Ranking, and plays along the interior of the defensive line. He still has room to grow, but he has enough versatility to play in different spots along the line of scrimmage and become a key figure in the class.
Huffman and Biggins are more confident in Satele committing to Oregon than Boyd at this point, but neither is particularly close to shutting down their recruitment. Satele is being pursued by Cal, Miami and UCLA, all of which pursued Toa as well.
The Ducks don't have anyone committed in their 2028 class yet, but both Boyd and Satele would be terrific early pillars in the class. Oregon has been in touch with other highly coveted recruits as well, notably four-star safety Jordan Hicks and four-star wideout Braylon Clark. The Ducks will likely try to get all four targets on campus frequently this fall.
