As I mentioned before, the NFC West division is survival of the fittest. Next up, we look at the Los Angeles Rams, who are projected to finish in first place. The Super Bowl window is still wide open for the Rams. Will the Rams win the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium for the second time in six years? All questions that may need to be asked, so let's look at how they can accomplish this and what needs to be addressed early in 2026.

Should the Rams have taken Ty Simpson so early? They were the favorites going into this season anyway, so it would have made more sense to take someone who could contribute and help Matthew Stafford immediately. Plenty of other players were on the board the Rams could have selected, but they are hoping a backup plan won't be needed until Simpson has more time to develop and possibly take over the reins in the future. It's good to sit for a while as a QB.

The Rams have hit on late-round wide receivers in the draft before, and they will hope this season is no different. Other names that come to mind that have blossomed into starting wide receivers are Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. This year, sixth-round rookie C.J. Daniels could follow the trend. Yet another gem that has strong hands and a wide catch radius as a weapon on the outside. Will it show up early for Daniels?

The whole selection of Ty Simpson rubbed some folks the wrong way, even within the Rams organization. Now, they will have to wait and see how Stafford reacts to the team drafting his supposed heir apparent. One would think it would be strictly professional coming from Stafford, but crazier things have happened in the past, and the starter and backup weren't pleasant, with one waiting in the wings not to be a friend but to steal his job.
