DURBAN CITY FC BUILD FOR NEW SEASON

Durban City FC enjoyed a remarkable 2025/26 campaign in their first season in the top flight. The club started the season under Gavin Hunt, followed by Sinethemba Badela‘s short stint of three matches, before Pitso Dladla took charge on an interim basis.

The team made history by winning the Nedbank Cup after beating TS Galaxy 2-1 in the final. They also finished eighth in the Betway Premiership with 37 points from 30 matches to secure a place in the MTN8.

The club also frustrated Orlando Pirates late in the season when they delayed the Soweto giants’ title celebrations with a memorable result.

The 37-year-old Tunisian previously worked as co-head coach at Kaizer Chiefs. He now faces the challenge of building on the club’s successful debut campaign.
