On Friday, he announced that he's signing in free agency with the Philadelphia 76ers. It's a huge move in the NBA title picture, and it's also big news for the James family.
His son, Bronny, is in the NBA and has spent his first two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers.
His younger son, Bryce, is heading into his second year as a college basketball player at the University of Arizona.

His daughter, Zhuri, is a rising volleyball player still in middle school, and it's not clear whether the James family plans to move entirely to Philadelphia.
Bronny is the most fascinating immediate piece of this, because there's been speculation that LeBron could try to bring his son with him to his new NBA home.

Is Bronny James still in the NBA with the Lakers?
Yes, Bronny is still under contract with the Lakers.
He's got a fully guaranteed $2.3 million salary for the 2026-27 NBA season.
The contract also includes a team option for the 2027-28 season, which means that after this campaign, the Lakers (or whichever team has Bronny) can choose to exercise the option and keep him for another year, or decline it and let him go to free agency.
If the Lakers want it, they have two more years of team control of Bronny.
Given the improvements he made from year one to year two, particularly as a shooter, it'd make sense for them to keep him around.
If LeBron asks the 76ers to trade for his son, they'll probably make it happen, but it's not a given.
In the meantime, at least for now, Bronny remains a member of the Lakers.
