WNBA All-Star Game: Storm C Dominique Malonga becomes youngest player to dunk in event

It's been generally treated as a matter of when, not if, Seattle Storm center Dominique Malonga will register her first WNBA dunk. The 2026 WNBA All-Star Game wound up being a fine occasion for it.

The annual defense-optional event saw the 6-foot-6 Malonga throw down a dunk in the second quarter with an assist from Angel Reese. Per the Storm, she is the seventh WNBA player to ever dunk in an All-Star Game and the youngest at only 20 years old.

Malonga hasn't dunked for the Storm in her first 63 regular-season games, though she's done it while playing both in Europe and for Unrivaled. She also did it in her first practice with the Storm last year, after the team selected her second overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Whether or not Malonga would dunk was a topic of discussion going into the All-Star Game as well, with her teammate Flau'jae Johnson saying she would never speak to her again if she didn't pull it off.

Seattle's team chemistry is now safe.

After a solid rookie year, Malonga has taken a major step forward for the Storm, though that hasn't stopped them from posting a WNBA-worst 6-23 record in the first half.
