Chargers named potential landing spot for All-Pro wide receiver

The Chargers head into the 2026 season with massive expectations, especially on the offensive side.

Justin Herbert will be looked at to take his game to the next level with the help of new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. The rest of the offensive unit is expected to follow suit, including the wide receiver room.
The positional room has some room for improvement heading into the season, which is why the Chargers have been linked to All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill.
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report listed the Chargers as one of the logical landing spots for the 32-year-old.
"Still, Hill's ability to stretch a defense, when healthy, will keep him on teams' radar throughout the summer and fall. If he doesn't push to sign with a team until later in the season, though, he'll really only make sense for a contender in the midst of a playoff push.
"While it's difficult to predict which contenders will be needing receiver help by October or November, a reunion with quarterback Patrick Mahomes or coach Mike McDaniel would certainly seem logical."
The other team that's listed as a logical landing spot is the Chiefs, one of Hill's former teams.
Hill is a free agent who is still completing rehab following his devastating dislocated knee and torn ACL last September. A timeline for his potential return this season is unknown; however, Hill has teased a comeback.
The potential addition of Hill makes all the sense in the world. The All-Pro wide receiver played some of his best football under McDaniel, who previously served as head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
On top of that, the Chargers' wide receiver depth outside of Ladd McConkey is a huge question mark. Can Quentin Johnston establish himself as a true WR2? Will Tre' Harris take a leap in his sophomore season? Do the Chargers have enough pass-catching depth?
Those are all reasonable and valid questions when dissecting the wide receiver room.
Whether Hill would be ready for Week 1 or later in the season, his presence alone could do wonders for the Chargers' offense.
