Portland Thorns and USWNT star Meghan Klingenberg will be recognized at a pre-match ceremony at Providence Park on August 15 against the Orlando Pride, the club announced today.

After spending nine years with the Portland Thorns, she helped the team win the 2017 and 2022 championships as well as the 2016 and 2021 NWSL Shields. Moreover, in 2020 she helped the team win the NWSL Community Shield and the following year, the second edition of the Challenge Cup and the International Cup.
The full-back was equally pivotal for country, playing every minute that led to the 2015 FIFA Womenâs World Cup. Later that year, she was chosen for the 2015 FIFPro Womenâs World XI and the FIFA Womenâs World Cup All-Star Team. Klingenberg also helped the USWNT to win the 2014 Concacaf Womenâs Championship and the 2016 SheBelieves Cup.
