Two males were gunned down in a Stoney Creek residential complex early Wednesday.
Hamilton Police responded to the scene on Candlewood Dr., near Whitedeer Rd. And Rymal Rd. E., after receiving reports of gunshots ringing out shortly before 2:30 a.m.
Officers located two males who had been shot and were later pronounced dead.
“The Homicide Unit has assumed carriage of the investigation,” police said in a message posted on X.

The victims’ names and ages have not been released and no suspect description was immediately available.
“More information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.
Hamilton Police are expected to reveal further details about the double murder at a news conference scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
