2026 Broncos training camp: Day 1 live updates

Welcome to Day 1 of Denver Broncos training camp. Things got off with acclimation days on Wednesday and Thursday. If you haven’t seen this drone tour of their new training facility, it is a must watch for any Broncomaniac.

It should be a well-attended camp by fans. Bo Nix is back and healthy with new elite talent at wide receiver in Jaylen Waddle, plus plenty of new wrinkles surely to be added by new offensive coordinator Davis Webb. This figures to be a huge camp and the tone setter for the regular season.

I’ll be tracking the days events and posting any interesting tidbits in this post today. We will have Scotty Payne’s daily recap posts, which should be the best high level overview of each days events out there. I hope you are all as excited as we are for this upcoming season. Go Broncos!

Two immediate takeaways from first couple periods of #Broncos practice today:

-Evan Engram could well be more involved with Davis Webb as play-caller, particularly in hurry-up situations
-Eyioma Uwazurike and Jordan Jackson will have big roles to play in DL competition

Jaylen Waddle was tracking a deep ball, realized the ball was falling right on his head, intentionally fell down and the ball landed on his chest for a catch.

First two passes from Bo Nix during 7on7:

20-yard completion to Courtland Sutton middle of the field

30+ yard completion to Pat Bryant. Bo did an incredible job looking off the defense before throwing to an open Pat

First play of 7 on 7, Nix hits Sutton on a deep in-breaking route that he took the distance for a 70 yard TD. Courtland hyped up the crowd after

In 7-on-7 the ball touched the ground just once — when PS2 broke up a pass for Sutton. Lil’Jordan Humphrey had the best catch of the period, an outstretched grab.

First play of team period, appropriately, was a completion to Waddle for 7+ on a slant.

Next completion was to Mims on a screen that he took up the sideline for a decent gain

Early play of the day at Broncos training camp:

Jarrett Stidham throws a deep shot to Evan Engram in 11-on-11 work for what would’ve been 60- or 70-yard completion. Stidham launched it at least 50 yards in the air.
